Peace Partners

We are part of the local and global community, working for peace and justice in our world.

From Death to Life

From Death to Life is a new partner for peace that has grown on the northside of Minneapolis. Mary Johnson is the mother of a murdered child, and the founder of From Death to Life, an organization dedicated to ending violence through facilitating healing and reconciliation between the families of victims and perpetrators. Donate to From Death to Life.

EVERY CHURCH A PEACE CHURCH

The mission of Every Church A Peace Church is to call every church to embrace the form of power taught and demonstrated by Jesus, the power of nonviolent struggle. Join them for monthly potlucks, workshops, retreats, and more!

Northside Achievement Zone

The Northside Achievement Zone is a North Minneapolis non-profit group devoted to finding effective and lasting means to peace on the North Side. The Northside Achievement Zone encourages policy-makers, organizations, congregations, corporations and community members to stand together to work for change. For details contact Basilica ambassador Laura Simpson.

Minnesota Alliance of Peacemakers

The Basilica’s Justice Teams are a member of the Minnesota Alliance of Peacemakers (MAP).  MAP is a non-partisan, ecumenical coalition of 69 peace, justice, environment and U.N.-advocacy organizations. MAP plans workshops, speakers, and other events during the year.
